Joanne Kaminski

Joanne Kaminski has a plethora of experiences that have qualified her to be the perfect online tutor for your child.  She taught in an inner city school called The Milwaukee Academy of Science in grades 3 and 4.  After seeing the amount of children struggling with reading, it became her passion to learn absolutely everything to help struggling readers become a better reader.​

She became the curriculum coordinator for the school, trained teachers all over the United States in the SFA (Success for All) reading programs for struggling readers, and went back to school for her Masters as a Reading Specialist.

​

After receiving her Masters she switched school Districts and began working in the top performing school in the Waukesha School District in Wisconsin.  She learned that when it came to reading, there was one magic formula that seemed to work with all kids.  That was, if you can get kids to figure something out for themselves and then you give it a name and explain it, then the child will remember it.

This became her teaching methodology and she created The Kaminski Way.  A true reading program for struggling readers that really has proven to have Success For All.  This particular program is an online tutoring program via skype and includes reading fluency and comprehension interventions.  It has proven to close the gap a full year with just 8-12 hours of instruction.
