I have taught in the public school system for over 10 years and after having my own children I decided to take my teaching online and start my own online tutoring company.  I have been tutoring online in reading since 2010 and am a certified reading specilist.  

 

Since I have taken my business online I have found that I am able to close the gap a full year with just 8-12 hours of instruction.  This is quicker than I was ever able to do in the school system and part of it is because I have to rely on technology and everything is right at my fingertips.  

 

Many people ask me how in the world I tutor kids online in reading and I explain that I use Skype and the screen sharing tool it provides.  Everything that is on my side of the computer I can share with the child and the child doesn't have touch a thing.  This is important since many of my students vary in grade levels from Kindergarten to high school.
